The World Choice Awards™ Nomination Guidelines explain how people, projects, brands, creators, public figures, and entertainment works may be considered for WCA nomination categories. These guidelines help keep the nomination process clear, organized, and fair across each awards season.
World Choice Awards™ nominations are designed to recognize excellence, creativity, influence, audience impact, and cultural relevance across entertainment, music, film, television, lifestyle, digital culture, tourism, and other WCA category areas. Nominations may be based on public suggestions, audience relevance, category fit, internal review, cultural impact, popularity, and overall alignment with the World Choice Awards™ platform.
To be considered for nomination, an eligible work, project, person, brand, or release must be publicly available, active, or relevant within the awards season being considered.
For films, series, music, albums, projects, or similar releases, eligible works must be officially available to the public no later than 7 days before the start of the public voting period.
This allows audiences enough time to experience, discuss, and fairly consider the work before voting begins.
Eligibility may vary by category and depending on the category, eligible nominees may include:
World Choice Awards™ reserves the right to place nominees in the category or categories that best fit their work, impact, audience relevance, and public recognition.
A nominee may be considered for more than one category if the nominee clearly fits multiple areas. However, being eligible for multiple categories does not guarantee nomination in all applicable categories. You should review the privacy and cookie policies of any third-party services you interact with.
When nomination submissions are open, audiences may be invited to suggest nominees through official WCA forms, links, or platforms. Submitting a nomination does not guarantee that the person, project, brand, or work will become an official nominee. All submissions may be reviewed for category fit, accuracy, relevance, eligibility, and alignment with WCA standards.
World Choice Awards™ may update, refine, remove, or adjust nominees and categories as needed before voting officially opens. This review may include checking:
New releases may be considered if they meet the eligibility rules and are publicly available before the required deadline. For example, if a film is released more than 7 days before voting opens, it may be considered for nomination if it fits the category and meets WCA review standards.
WCA may include regional categories that spotlight specific cities, regions, or communities. For WCA regional categories, nominees may include local businesses, creators, artists, food spots, experiences, organizations, or public-facing community spaces. Regional nominees should have a clear connection to the area represented by the category.
Nomination and voting are separate parts of the WCA process. Being nominated means a person, project, brand, or work has been selected for public voting or recognition within a category. Winning is determined by the voting process, category rules, internal review where applicable, and official WCA results procedures.
Nominees, brands, creators, fan pages, and supporters may share their nomination status once official nominees are announced. However, WCA names, logos, graphics, and materials should not be altered, misused, or presented in a misleading way.
No person, brand, project, or organization should claim to be officially nominated, partnered, sponsored, or endorsed by WCA unless that information has been officially announced or confirmed by World Choice Awards™.
World Choice Awards™ may update nomination categories, eligibility rules, voting details, or guidelines when needed. Any major updates will be shared through the official WCA website or official WCA platforms.
